The Maharashtra government-appointed commission investigating allegations of question paper and answer key leaks, along with other irregularities, in nine examinations conducted by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has asked candidates and others with relevant information to submit their complaints or representations through sworn affidavits by November 16.
In a press note issued on November 5, the MPSC Examination Inquiry Commission said it had made an affidavit format available to ensure clarity and uniformity in submissions. Candidates, students, individuals and registered organisations possessing information or evidence related to the alleged irregularities have been invited to approach the commission.
The inquiry commission was constituted through a Maharashtra government notification dated October 16, 2026, to investigate allegations of malpractice and leakage of question papers, answer keys or portions thereof in the nine examinations.
The commission had issued a public notice in Marathi and English newspapers on October 30, inviting complaints, objections and representations supported by affidavits.
According to the commission, submissions must be made in Marathi or English and accompanied by a duly notarised affidavit, a copy of a valid identity document and self-attested copies of relevant supporting documents.
The affidavit format requires complainants to provide their personal details and affirm that the information and evidence submitted are true and accurate to the best of their knowledge. It also contains separate provisions for those who filed complaints before the October 30 public notice and those submitting complaints subsequently.
The commission has clarified in the affidavit document that the prescribed format is indicative and applicants may modify it if necessary.
Complaints and supporting documents must be submitted to the commission’s office at Room No. 201, second floor, Food and Drug Administration Building, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra East, Mumbai – 400051.
Applicants must also email copies of their notarised affidavits, representations and supporting documents to complaints.inquirycomm.mpsc@maharashtra.gov.in.
For assistance with filing complaints or representations, the commission has provided the telephone number 022-20867677.
