The United States is looking to breathe life back into “the Quad” partnership with Japan, India and Australia, with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announcing that the first leaders’ meeting in more than two years will be held next month.

Rubio said in an interview with Indian television on Tuesday that there has been an agreement to hold a Quad leaders’ summit during Association of Southeast Asian Nations-related meetings in Manila from Nov. 15 to 17.

“We don’t have the specific date yet, but that’s going to happen, and we’re very enthusiastic about it,” Rubio revealed.
