Coming off his recent, multi-year deal with Netflix, Druski is flexing his pop-culture muscles by hosting Saturday Night Live. And he has something special in mind for viewers.
In the initial promo of his debut on the show, the comedian says he’ll be hosting “the last-ever episode of SNL.”
Castmember Marcello Hernandez nervously inquires, “What do you mean the least-ever episode?”
The YouTube personality then leans close and whispers inaudibly to Hernandez.
The SNL star replies as he listens, “You’re going to wear it? And you’re going to do the voice? No no no. You can’t do that.”
To which Druski says, “Trust me. That’s what they like. They like that.”
While the viral star’s statement about SNL ending its run is surely hyperbole, Druski does have a history of pushing social boundaries to make a comedic point.
Witness his recent whiteface skit to promote his BET Awards hosting gig or, more controversially, the one he did dressed up as Erika Kirk.
The comedian will appear live from the Comcast Building at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in Midtown Manhattan this Saturday. Druski takes the stage as he promotes his new comedy series, Collect and Praise, which premieres on Netflix this December.
The Strokes will join him for their fifth appearance as a musical guest.
SNL airs at 11:30 p.m. ET and 8:30 p.m. PT on NBC and Peacock.
