Mohamed Farid, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, met with Abdelaziz Mohammed Hamad Al Mana, Chairperson of Qatar’s Al Mana Holding Group, in Doha on the sidelines of his participation in the World Investment Forum, organised by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

The meeting reviewed developments in the group’s investments in Egypt, the progress of its existing projects and opportunities for expansion across several economic sectors. Discussions also covered the group’s plans to expand its presence in the Egyptian market through new projects, opening additional avenues for investment cooperation in productive activities.

Farid stressed the importance of maintaining direct engagement with investors, monitoring progress in their projects, identifying their needs and addressing any challenges they may face in implementing their investment plans.

He underlined the importance of coordinating with the relevant authorities to identify appropriate solutions that support the stability of existing investments, facilitate their expansion and encourage the establishment of new projects.

He also outlined investment opportunities in sectors of interest to the group, affirming the ministry’s readiness to provide the necessary information on proposed projects and facilitate communication with the relevant authorities.

This would enable the group to assess available opportunities and identify potential areas for expanding its investments in Egypt, he added.
