It's a bad night for National's top ministers, as election remains on knife edge.

A record turnout of Arabs, many of whom identify as Palestinian citizens of Israel, tipped the political scales in the election and turned the Arab-majority parties into kingmakers in a deadlocked result.

Given the indecisive result, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Gadi Eisenkot would need to find a way to broaden their blocs if they hope to secure a governing coalition.

Economists expect the GDP report to show economic growth, but say that growth is "fragile." And, after 90% of the votes in Israel have been counted, no clear winner has emerged.

With the Israeli election inconclusive, painstaking coalition bargaining appears to be ahead, with Netanyahu remaining in a caretaker capacity.
