New police data shows a sharp increase in speeding offences across the Western Bay of Plenty.
Speeding offences across Western Bay of Plenty have surged more than fivefold in four years, according to recently released police data.
The figures show police officers issued 16,579 speeding infringements in 2025, up from 2652 in 2021, a rise of 525%.
