A prominent New Zealand musician has been arrested and charged with assault and using threatening language.
The man appeared in Manukau District Court this morning on two charges of common assault and one of using threatening language.
It was his first appearance.
He has been granted name suppression.
The man's next appearance is scheduled for next month at Queenstown District Court.
