Victor Osimhen scored for Galatasaray less than 24 hours after becoming a father for the second time, dedicating the goal to his newborn daughter, Liora, in a 4-0 Super Lig win away to Konyaspor on Friday, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The Super Eagles striker and his partner, Stefanie Kim Ladewig, welcomed their second child, Liora Audrey, on Thursday. The Turkish champions announced the news on their official social media channels, and congratulations poured in from fans and the media in Nigeria and Turkey.
“Our Football A Team player Victor Osimhen and Stefanie have welcomed a baby girl into the world,” Galatasaray said in a statement.
“We congratulate the couple Victor and Stefanie; we wish their newborn baby Liora Audrey a long, healthy, and happy life!”
The couple already have a daughter, Hailey True, who was born in 2020.

Osimhen stayed in Istanbul because of the birth and did not travel to Konya with the squad on Thursday. He flew to join his teammates by private plane on the day of the match, and Turkish media captured him getting into a vehicle before the journey.
The 27-year-old has now scored four goals in his last three matches for the club. He scored once against Lille in Europe, twice in the derby win over Fenerbahce and again against Konyaspor.
He now has nine league goals and three assists in his eight league appearances. His form has made him the main attacking threat for coach Okan Buruk’s side, who lead the Super Lig table.
The fixture at the Konya Buyuksehir Belediye Stadium had also been billed as a duel between two Super Eagles players, as Konyaspor defender Chidozie Awaziem lined up against Osimhen.
Konyaspor had also been a difficult opponent for Galatasaray, having beaten them 2-0 earlier this year, although the Istanbul club have won 22 of their 33 all-time meetings.
