Gombe NYSC Coordinator, Regina-Nnenna Eke
The National Youth Service Corps has appointed Regina-Nnenna Eke as its new State Coordinator in Gombe State following the retirement of her predecessor, Chinwe Nwachuku.
Eke assumed duty on Friday, October 30, 2026, following her posting by the management of the scheme.
Before her appointment, she served as Deputy Director at the NYSC South-South Area Office I in Asaba, Delta State.
The NYSC Gombe State Secretariat announced the leadership change in a statement issued on Monday by its Public Relations Officer, Mrs Owonibi-Peace Ibiduo.
The statement said Nwachuku retired after rendering what it described as meritorious service to the scheme.
It added that the new coordinator had pledged to build on her predecessor’s achievements.
“The new state coordinator has pledged to build on the achievements of her predecessor and solicits the support and cooperation of the government and good people of Gombe State,” the statement said.
Eke also appealed for the cooperation of security agencies, collaborating institutions, stakeholders, corps members, corps employers and the general public to enable her discharge her responsibilities effectively.
The statement also expressed appreciation to media organisations for their continued support and coverage of NYSC activities in the state.
