Creators to compete for contracts paying N200,000 monthly

Photographers, videographers and other creative persons in Delta State will soon have the opportunity to pitch for paid contracts offering between N150,000 and N200,000 monthly at an event in Asaba.

The organiser of the Delta Creators and Influencers Hangout, Henrietta Enwereaku, disclosed this while briefing journalists, saying the initiative was designed to connect skilled creatives with businesses seeking their services.

“The idea is to connect both creators and businesses,” Enwereaku said.

She explained that the event’s Creators Pitch segment would allow shortlisted applicants to present proposals showing how their skills could help participating businesses improve their marketing, photography, video production, storytelling and social media engagement.

Enwereaku said businesses, including Seth and Family Pride, would assess the presentations and could engage creatives whose skills matched their needs. Successful applicants could receive two-month contracts, with monthly payments ranging from N150,000 to N200,000.

However, the organisers have yet to disclose the number of available positions.

Enwereaku said successful candidates would sign agreements specifying their pay, duties, expected deliverables and contract dates. The organisers would monitor their performance after the event, with possible extensions subject to performance and mutual agreement.

She said the initiative was intended to help young creatives overcome challenges such as limited access to equipment, professional networks and paying clients.

The second edition of the event, tagged DCIH 2.0, will be held at Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba, on November 5.

The organisers are also seeking donations of cameras, laptops, smartphones and production accessories to support emerging creatives who have the skills but lack the equipment to grow their businesses.

The first edition was held in January 2025. Attendance at 2026 event is free, subject to registration.
