2027: Osun APC mobilises 10,000 canvassers for Tinubu

The All Progressives Congress in Osun State has mobilised 10,000 door-to-door canvassers to drive support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general election.

The Osun State APC Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, disclosed this on Friday, saying the party had concluded arrangements to inaugurate the canvassers in Osogbo as part of its grassroots mobilisation strategy across the state’s 30 local government areas.

According to a statement on Saturday, Lawal said the initiative was designed to take the achievements and policies of the Tinubu administration to residents at the grassroots and secure widespread support for the President’s second-term ambition.

He said, “We have mobilised about 10,000 members of our party for door-to-door campaign for President Bola Tinubu to take the good deeds of his administration to the grassroots across the 30 local government areas of Osun State.

“The reforms by the President are pruning the economy and paving ways for strong generational wealth.”

The APC chairman said the mobilisation was being spearheaded by the party’s leadership, with the support of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, the party’s 2026 Osun governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, and members of the State Executive Committee.

He added that the party had put structures in place to ensure the effective implementation of its campaign plans and secure Tinubu’s return for a second term in office.

Commenting on the emergence of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, as the coordinator of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) for Tinubu’s re-election, Lawal said the APC leadership in the state was ready to work with the governor towards achieving the objective.

According to him, the party welcomed Adeleke’s decision to support Tinubu’s re-election and urged him to ensure that APC leaders and members were adequately represented in the campaign council.

“The leadership of the APC in the state appreciated the resolve of Governor Adeleke to work for the re-election of President Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election,” Lawal said.

He urged the governor to take necessary steps to incorporate relevant stakeholders, including APC leaders and members, into the campaign structure in the interest of achieving a common goal.

Lawal further disclosed that the party had resolved to mobilise voters for its candidates contesting the National Assembly and Osun State House of Assembly elections.

He said the meeting also resolved to establish a separate campaign council to coordinate activities for the party’s National Assembly and state assembly candidates.

According to him, APC structures at all levels would be deployed to drive voter mobilisation and other campaign activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The party chairman also commended Tompolo for his support for the PBAT door-to-door campaign.
