A former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Betta Edu, has expressed confidence that Cross River State will support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid and Governor Bassey Otu’s second-term ambition in the 2027 general elections.
Edu, who is the Co-Director of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council Women Mobilisation Directorate, spoke on the sidelines of an APC rally in Calabar, according to a statement made available to PUNCH Online on Tuesday
She said, “Cross River State is 100 per cent behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid and Governor Bassey Otu’s second-term ambition.”
Edu described the rally as a demonstration of the party’s unity and support in the state, saying, “The rally is a powerful demonstration of the unity, strength, and unwavering commitment of the APC family in Cross River.”
She urged party members, women, youths and grassroots mobilisers to sustain the momentum through community engagement, mobilisation and voter sensitisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
