The performance comes as U2 celebrate their 50th anniversary, having formed in Dublin in 1976.
It will also mark a return to the NFL stage for the band, who previously headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in 2002, when they paid tribute to the victims of the September 11 attacks.
The game kicks off at 1am Irish time on Thursday, 26 November, with the halftime performance taking place later.
U2's 16th studio album, Carnaval de Luz, their first album of new material in nine years, will be released on Friday, 13 November.
