RTÉ understands that around 100 jobs are at risk following the appointment of provisional liquidators to a registered charity at the centre of a garda money laundering investigation.
Earlier this week, the High Court appointed the liquidators to Liberty Recycling and Development Company Ltd following an application from the Charities Regulator.
It is understood some 45 employees at Liberty Recycling Ltd have been given notice, while a community employment scheme, which has 37 participants, has been closed.
Another entity connected to Liberty Recycling, Liberty Global Exports Company Ltd, has given notice to 30 other workers.
