The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the storm is likely to move with a “wind speed of 100 to 110 kmph (and) gusting up to 120 kmph between Nellore and Narasapur”.

Over 2,000 officials have been mobilised from Anantapur, Sri Sathya Sai, Kurnool, Nandyal, Kadapa, Chittoor, and Annamayya districts to restore power supply on a war footing in Nellore and Tirupati districts
