EXCLUSIVE: MBC Studios is gearing up for the world premiere of Saudi director Hana Alomair’s psychological thriller Traveller’s Hell at the Cairo International Film Festival next week and Deadline can reveal the international trailer.

The chilling drama follows the trials of a young woman who unwittingly picks up a serial killer posing as a stranded motorist on a remote mountain road.

First announced in 2024, it is a landmark production for MBC Studios, both for its female driven genre storyline and being the first feature for pioneering Saudi director Alomair.

She previously co-wrote and directed Whispers, one of Netflix’s first original series with Saudi Arabia in the wake of the country opening up in 2017.

The Cairo world premiere comes ahead of the film’s theatrical launch in Saudi Arabia on November 19, with rollouts to additional Arab cities to be announced in the coming weeks.

The picture is adapted from the best-selling novel of the same name by Saudi author Osamah Almuslim, who wrote the screenplay.

The cast features Adwa Bader, Basil Alsole, Mohammed Ali, Shojaa Nashat, and Aziz Gharbawi.
