Linden Entertainment has signed actor Asa Butterfield for representation.
Butterfield most recently made his stage debut in Barney Norris’ “Second Best” at Riverside Studios in London, which was based on David Foenkinos’ best-selling novel of the same name, and starred in Oscar Boyson’s “Our Hero, Balthazar.”
Known for his role as Otis Milburn in the Netflix comedy “Sex Education,” Butterfield will next be seen as the Beatles’ manager Brian Epstein in BBC’s “Hamburg Days,” which follows the band’s formative years in the German city, as well as John Carroll’s comedy “Happy” alongside Kyra Sedgwick, Mark Strong and Wyatt Russell.
Butterfield made his screen debut when he was just 8 years old in ITV’s “After Thomas” and went on to star in Mark Herman’s “The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas” just two years later, which earned him a nomination for Most Promising Newcomer at the British Independent Film Awards.
His additional credits include Martin Scorsese’s “Hugo,” James Graham’s “A Brilliant Young Mind,” Peter Chelsom’s “The Space Between Us” opposite Gary Oldman, Tim Burton’s “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children,” Gavin Hood’s “Ender’s Game” and Susanna White’s “Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang” opposite Maggie Smith, Ralph Fiennes and Ewan McGregor.
Linden was founded in 2020 by Nicole King and Stacy O’Neil, who lead the company alongside JoAnne Colonna and Riva Marker. Their client roster includes talent such as Vin Diesel, Jennifer Garner, Eva Longoria, Amy Adams, Eiza González, Brendan Fraser, Forest Whitaker and Connor Storrie.
