SEOUL, Nov. 2 (Yonhap) -- Renault Korea Motors Co., the South Korean unit of France's Renault S.A., said Monday its sales dived 23.6 percent from a year earlier in October, weighed down by sluggish domestic demand and declining exports.

The automaker sold 5,503 vehicles last month, down from 7,201 units a year earlier, the company said in a release.

Domestic sales plunged 29.1 percent on-year to 2,703 units last month, while exports backtracked a sharp 17.4 percent to 2,800 units.
