SEREMBAN, Oct 22 — The man suspected of murdering his wife, a Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) officer, at their residential quarters near Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Nilai on Oct 15 has had his remand extended for another seven days.

Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the suspect would remain in remand until Oct 29, while the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

“The extended remand period begins today and runs until Oct 29,” he told reporters.

A post-mortem found that the woman died from pressure on her neck. The examination also revealed three stab wounds, two to the abdomen and one to the right cheek.

The woman, in her 30s, was found dead at the quarters after allegedly being stabbed by her husband, reportedly following a misunderstanding.

Police received a report on the incident at 9.30 pm after the husband surrendered at the Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi Police Station in Sepang, Selangor, and reported his wife’s death. — Bernama
