EXCLUSIVE: Paramount+ officially has a new unscripted boss.

The streamer has named Damla Dogan as head of unscripted, overseeing reality programming. It caps off a busy couple of weeks on the executive front for parent company Skydance.

The move comes after Casey Bloys, Co-Chair and Chief Content Officer, Skydance DTC, who will oversee content for both HBO Max and Paramount+, revealed his leadership team last week.

Sarah Aubrey was named Head of Paramount+, Max Originals and International Programming and Dogan will report to her.

Former Netflix exec Dogan has been consulting for Paramount+ for the last nine months, as first revealed by Deadline. She has already been busy, working closely with Jane Wiseman, who was previously EVP and Head of Originals for Paramount+, buying projects such as Making Love, a dating show from Kinetic Content, and Team Moms, the Kim Kardashian-exec produced youth baseball series from ITV America and Skydance Sports that launched last month.

The move has been welcomed by the unscripted community, which has been buoyed by another buyer in the market – Paramount+ rarely bought original unscripted projects, outside of its own IP, before David Ellison’s Skydance took over.

Before joining Paramount+, Dogan spent six years at Netflix, where she was Director of Unscripted Originals. She worked on series including Owning Manhattan, The Circle, Bling Empire, Buying Beverly Hills, Indian Matchmaking and Get Organized with The Home Edit.

Prior to Netflix, she spent 11 years at E! Entertainment, where she developed Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which she oversaw for the first 14 seasons, as well as Total Divas and Love From The Red Carpet. She also spent five years at Paramount predecessor Viacom, where was director of development at VH1.
