EXCLUSIVE: Olivia Holt (Heart Eyes), Jaimie Alexander (Thor) and Rohan Campbell (Halloween Ends) have been set to lead Scout Taylor-Compton’s Survive: The Game, a horror movie currently filming entirely in Gipuzkoa, Spain, at Zinealdea Studios, and on location in Irún, Spain.

The synopsis reads: “When a group of friends unearth an ancient board game inside a secluded cabin with a violent past, each roll of the dice brings a deadly fate to life, and the only way to survive is to finish the game.”

Holt, who recently starred in horror Heart Eyes, will appear opposite Alexander, best known for her five-season run as Jane Doe on Blindspot and her recurring role as Lady Sif in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Campbell, who broke out opposite Jamie Lee Curtis in Halloween Ends and currently stars in Netflix’s Below, rounds out the lead cast.

Taylor-Compton is directing from a script she wrote with Michael Kennedy (Heart Eyes). An actress-turned-filmmaker known for the Halloween franchise, she previously wrote and directed Road to Recovery and co-directed Last Chance Motel.

The film is being produced by Randy Wayne and Talia Bella under their Rebellium Films banner, Tom O’Connell and Scout Taylor-Compton of Building Blocks Productions, and Amy Covell of Red Phoenix Productions. Executive producers include Leire Apellaniz of Sr. y Sra., Mark Albela, Michael Kennedy, and Dauntless Productions. The production sees the film as having franchise potential.

“I’ve played the final girl. I spent years learning what it takes to survive a horror movie: the running, the screaming, the moment you finally turn around and fight,” said Taylor-Compton. “With Survive: The Game, I wanted to ask a different question. What if the thing chasing you isn’t outside the door? What if surviving means confronting the worst version of yourself first?”

“This is the fourth film we’ve worked on with Scout, and the second she’s directing for Rebellium,” said producer Randy Wayne. “She’s a powerhouse with an extreme attention to detail and an unmatched drive. Audiences are going to meet antagonists they’ve never seen before – creative, scary, and inventive. We’re honored to help bring Survive: The Game to life with her.”

Holt is repped by WME, Entertainment 360, and Yorn, Levine. Alexander is repped by Gersh, Berwick & Kovacik and Ginsburg Daniels Kallis. Campbell is repped by CAA, Sol22 and Webster Talent Management. Taylor-Compton is repped by Innovative Artists.
