EXCLUSIVE: Nick Hall, who has exec produces series including The White Lotus and worked at companies including HBO, Amazon and A24, is getting into business with Vice Studios.

Hall has struck a non-exclusive producing partnership with the company to develop and produce scripted projects through his Hallogram banner.

It comes just over twelve months after the youth-skewing hipster media company hired former Paramount and Amazon exec Amy Powell as President of Vice Studios and landed a $75M credit facility to fill out its programming slate.

As part of the deal, Hall will exec produce two projects currently in the works at Vice.

He will exec produce the TV adaptation of Anika Jade Levy’s debut novel Flat Earth, which Levy is written with Pen15 co-creator Sam Zvibleman, and workplace comedy Work Husbands, which is loosely based on the real-life relationship of Gen Z marketers Nate Jones and Ziad Ahmed.

In addition to exec producing season one of The White Lotus, which landed him an Emmy win in 2022, Hall has produced series including Luca Guadagnino’s We Are Who We Are for HBO and Sky Atlantic and FX’s The Shards as well as French-language series Icon of French Cinema, which was co-produced with A24 and Arte.

After starting his career as an assistant at UTA and in comedy at Warner Bros., Hall spent seven years at HBO before moving to Amazon, where he oversaw comedy, drama and YA series. After a producing pact with HBO, he spent a year working as a TV executive at A24.

The move marks the latest programming move for the Gangs of London producer since Fortress Investment Group, Soros Fund Management and Monroe Capital acquired it out of bankruptcy for $225M in 2023.

Projects include Capital, a crime drama series from Guy Ritchie in development at Amazon MGM Studios UK, scripted drama series in development with Pablo Torre about sports ownership, extreme wealth and corruption, and an adaptation of the video game franchise Payday with Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.

“Nick has a rare combination of great taste, strong instincts and the conviction to take creative risks,” said Amy Powell, President of Vice Studios. “He has an incredible ability to recognize and champion original voices and material that others might overlook. I’ve known Nick for many years, and I’ve always admired his commitment to filmmakers and stories that challenge expectations. His sensibility is a natural fit for Vice, and I’m excited to see what we create together.”

Nick Hall added, “I feel incredibly fortunate to have worked with some of the most trailblazing leaders and culture-defining companies in television. I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue that tradition with Amy and Vice.”

Hall is represented by attorney Jared Bloch.
