Mitsui Fudosan is betting big on a mixed-use real estate project on British Library land, aiming to profit from strong demand in London while also building its brand presence in the city.

β€œWe believe that we can leverage our expertise in domestic and overseas urban development and large-scale mixed-use projects,” said Kanako Komura, development director at Mitsui Fudosan UK.

In Japan, Mitsui Fudosan has undertaken a number of massive redevelopments, such as the Tokyo Midtown projects, which include a 52-floor mixed-use building in the Nihonbashi area. It is also leading a $5 billion redevelopment on 19 hectares at the former site of the Tsukiji market.
