EXCLUSIVE: Manny Montana (Ironheart, Good Girls) has joined the Season 5 cast of Paramount+‘s Tulsa King in a recurring role. He will play Gilberto Torres, a gangster with a strong presence, though he doesn’t have to advertise it. Through his network in the streets, nothing goes on in New York without him knowing about it.
Tulsa King follows New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone), just after he is released from prison after 25 years and unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a “crew” from a group of unlikely characters to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that, to him, might as well be another planet.
In Season 4, which premiered last month, Dwight fights to legitimize his empire and protect his crew as corrupt politicians, dangerous new enemies, and a crushing personal loss hit from every direction. However, every hard-won gain comes with even harder truths: about loyalty, leadership, and the cost of ambition. Each move drags Dwight deeper into the street instincts he left behind in New York – turning Tulsa into a battleground and Dwight into the one threat no one can afford to underestimate.
Season 5, currently in production in New York, will see Scarlet Rose Stallone, who has played Spencer on all four seasons of the series, upped to a series regular. Joining the cast in series regular roles are Erik Palladino, Glenn Fleshler, Anthony Skordi, and Nickola Shreli.
Terence Winter is head writer and executive producer. Tulsa King is also executive produced by Taylor Sheridan, Sylvester Stallone, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Thomas Kelly, Aron Gaudet, Gita Pullapilly, and Keith Cox.
Montana was recently seen playing Rio in the Jenna Bans series Good Girls, as well as Marvel’s Ironheart, Conviction, Graceland, Westworld, Mayans M.C., Rosewood, and The Following. In film, he has been seen in Clint Eastwood’s The Mule, Michael Mann’s Blackhat opposite Chris Hemsworth and Viola Davis, and Joe Manzzello’s Undrafted. Montana is repped by Paradigm Talent Agency.
