Madinaty Golf Club to host top stars for 2026 World Golf Awards on Nov 7

Madinaty Golf Club will host the 13th annual World Golf Awards on November 7, marking the first time the prestigious ceremony takes place in Egypt and on the African continent.

The World Golf Awards is recognized as one of the premier global organizations celebrating excellence in golf tourism and course design.

The upcoming event is expected to bring together top international golf stars alongside leading figures from the global golf tourism sector.

“We are delighted that Madinaty Golf Club has been selected to host the 2026 World Golf Awards, an important milestone that highlights the quality of our golf facilities and broader sports infrastructure,” said Omar Hisham Talaat, Chief Business Development Officer at Talaat Moustafa Group and President of the Egyptian Golf Federation (EGF).

“Hosting the first-ever World Golf Awards ceremony in Africa is a great honor,” Talaat added. “It reflects Talaat Moustafa Group’s (TMG) vision of developing exceptional destinations that blend sports with a modern lifestyle, while cementing Egypt’s standing as a leading regional and international hub for golf tourism.”

“We are honored to bring the World Golf Awards to Madinaty Golf Club for our first-ever event in Africa,” said Chris Frost, Managing Director of the World Golf Awards.

“Madinaty Golf Club is a world-class destination featuring a championship course built to high international standards.

Located in East Cairo with fantastic year-round weather, it is an ideal golf destination. I eagerly look forward to attending the event and connecting with top leaders across the golf tourism industry.”

Madinaty Golf Club, a flagship venue of Talaat Moustafa Group, has been named Egypt’s best golf course five times and Africa’s best golf course for three consecutive years at the World Golf Awards.

Designed by world-renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Jr., the course is managed by Troon, a global leader in golf course management and maintenance.
