SEOUL, Nov. 2 (Yonhap) -- GM Korea Co., the South Korean unit of General Motors Co., said Monday its sales vaulted 26.6 percent from a year earlier in October, driven by strong overseas demand.

The company sold 50,189 vehicles last month, up from 39,630 units a year earlier, GM Korea said in a press release.

Domestic sales dropped 33.1 percent on-year to 799 units, while exports advanced 28.5 percent to 49,390 units, led by robust sales of the Chevrolet Trax Crossover and the Trailblazer sport utility vehicle (SUV).
