Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Hussein Issa, highlighted the country’s promising energy investment opportunities and its ongoing efforts to cement its position as a regional energy hub during the opening of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC 2026) on Monday.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Issa stated that the Egyptian government is working to secure the state’s energy needs, enhance the investment environment, develop infrastructure, and utilise modern technologies to achieve sustainable development.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasised the deep historical ties and strategic partnership between Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, describing the global event as an essential platform for dialogue and knowledge exchange with major decision-makers, industry leaders, and investors.
The 42nd edition of ADIPEC, held under the patronage of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, was officially opened by UAE Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the ADNEC Abu Dhabi centre.
The conference, which runs from Nov. 2 to Nov. 5, is expected to be the largest in ADIPEC’s history, according to a statement from the Egyptian cabinet. It is projected to register a record attendance of more than 239,000 visitors from over 170 countries.
The exhibition features more than 2,260 exhibiting companies distributed across 16 halls, alongside 30 national pavilions, including Egypt’s. Organisers said the wide participation showcases technologies and solutions covering various stages of the global energy value chain, reflecting the event’s position as a prominent gathering for industry leaders.
Over four days, the conference will host more than 1,800 speakers across 13 programmes and more than 380 sessions. Discussions will address industry priorities ranging from energy security, infrastructure, and investment to natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG), artificial intelligence, industrial competitiveness, and workforce development.
ADIPEC is billed as the world’s largest energy exhibition and conference, serving as an international platform to discuss the future of the energy sector, enhance international cooperation, and explore investment and technological opportunities.
