Chris Pratt has been tapped to receive the King of Comedy Award at the 2026 Kids’ Choice Awards on Nov. 14.

The Guardians of the Galaxy and Parks and Recreation alum will receive the Silver Blimp statuette at the show, which is officially titled CBS Presents Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, in celebration of his career, “before facing Nickelodeon’s iconic slime,” according to the announcement. Pratt also might take home an Orange Blimp award that night as he is nominated for favorite male animated voice from a movie for his role as Mario in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

Pratt next stars in Way of the Warrior Kid, an adaptation of Jocko Willink’s bestselling children’s novel that premieres Nov. 25 on Apple TV, which he also produced.

“I’m incredibly honored to receive Nickelodeon’s King of Comedy Award,” Pratt said. “I spent most of my childhood trying to make people laugh to get out of trouble. Now apparently you can win awards for it. Pretty sweet deal. Comedy has always been a huge part of my life, and making people laugh is one of my favorite things in the world. Especially kids. I’m grateful to Nickelodeon and CBS for this honor. And if I get slimed, just know I’ll be sending them my dry-cleaning bill.”

The 2026 KCAs will be hosted by Alex Warren. Musical performances and other celebrity appearances will be announced at a later date. Taylor Swift leads this year’s nominees with a total of six mentions, followed by Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter with five apiece.

Awards will be handed out across film, television, music, gaming, sports and other categories. Among the movies and series that are up for KCAs are The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Toy Story 5, Wednesday, Wicked: For Good, The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants, KPop Demon Hunters and Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

In addition, producers this year have introduced three new categories: watch party: kids’ choice, favorite onscreen duo/trio and favorite clutch player of the year.

The 2026 KCA ceremony will air on CBS for the first time as well as on Nickelodeon. It also will stream live on Paramount+ for Premium subscribers in the U.S., with on-demand viewing available the following day for Premium and Essential subscribers. The ceremony airs live from Television City in Los Angeles at 8-9:30 p.m. ET/5-6:30 p.m. PT. The KCAs are produced by Done + Dusted.
