Broadway‘s big-name fall stars continued putting seats in the seats last week, with Billy Crystal‘s 860, Other Desert Cities with Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Ed Harris and Allison Janney, and A Few Good Men with Bradley Whitford and Tom Blythe selling out their venues and pulling seven-figure grosses.

Especially impressive was the rapturously reviewed Other Desert Cities, grossing $2,262,442 for the week ending October 25, second only to Hamilton’s $2,524,951.

860 grossed $1,212,055 in its opening week at the Imperial, a slight downturn in the dollar number only because of press- and opening-night comps. The well-reviewed solo show was SRO with attendance at about 108% of the venue’s capacity. (Earlier today, the production announced a six-week extension to February 14, 2027.)

Also opening last week was The Imaginary Invalid starring Bill Irwin, filling about 82% of seats at the non-prof Haimes for a gross of $419,673.

A Few Good Men, the Aaron Sorkin revival in previews at non-prof Lincoln Center Theater’s Vivian Beaumont, grossed $1,371,447. Opening night is this Thursday, October 29.

Another strong newcomer is Wanted, the musical from Angelica Chéri and Ross Baum starring Solea Pfeiffer and Liisi LaFontaine, coming close to selling out the James Earl Jones (93%) for a solid gross of $624,088. Opening night is November 8.

Two shows began previews last week. The controversial Downstate began previews at the Booth, filling 95% of seats and grossing $264,437 for six previews. Opening night is November 15. The reimagined The Fantasticks from non-prof Second Stage began previews at the Hayes, filling the venue for four previews and grossing $254,610. Opening night is November 16.

In addition to 860, A Few Good Men, Other Desert Cities and The Fantasticks, the sell-outs for the week were Hamilton and Oh, Mary! Just shy of selling out were & Juliet, Buena Vista Social Club, Chicago, Hadestown, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, MJ, Operation Mincemeat, Paranormal Activity, School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play, The Book of Mormon and The Rocky Horror Show.

After Hamilton and Other Desert Cities, the Top Five Earners roster was rounded out by Harry Potter and the Cursed Child ($1,990,388), The Lion King ($1,869,464) and MJ ($1,736,241).

Top average ticket prices went to the three shows averaging more than $200 a seat: Other Desert Cities ($290.35); Hamilton ($235.58); and Oh, Mary! ($213.98). Lowest average ticket price went to Downstate at $61.64. The overall average for the 32 Broadway productions was $129.18.

In all, the 32 productions grossed a total $33,966,016 for the week ending October 25, about even with the previous week but down about 8% from last year at this time. Attendance was 262,928, up 1% from the previous week but down 5% year-to-year.

In the 22nd week of the 2026-27 season, Broadway has grossed $696,438,425 season-to-date, down about 8% from last year at this time, with total attendance of 5,677,469 down 3% year-to-year.
