Brittany O’Grady To Star In Thriller ‘State Of Emergency’ For ‘House Of The Dragon’ Director Greg Yaitanes & FilmNation — AFM

EXCLUSIVE: FilmNation Entertainment will launch AFM sales on thriller State Of Emergency under its genre production label Infrared Pictures.

Starring Brittany O’Grady (The White Lotus), Golden Globe and Emmy-winning director Greg Yaitanes, known for his work on hit series including House of the Dragon, Presumed Innocent, and House, will direct.

Infrared Pictures, Sam Brown and Dustin Thomason will produce through their company Curiosity Media. Infrared is financing. The film is expected to start shooting next year.

Written by Nick Luddington (Arcane), State Of Emergency sees “Jenna return to her job as a Boston 911 emergency dispatcher where she’s still haunted by the death of her teenage brother and the missed call he placed to her in his final moments. What begins as an ordinary overnight shift soon takes a turn when callers report strange incidents connected to a mysterious event in Boston Harbor. And as a threat closes in on the dispatch center itself, the film gives way to a chilling realization: Boston is ground zero for a catastrophe.”

Yaitanes most recently directed on Lucky, Dutton Ranch and Spider-Noir. He served as executive producer and director on Apple TV+’s most viewed drama, Presumed Innocent, starring Jake Gyllenhaal. He was co-executive producer of House of the Dragon, for which he also directed three episodes including the season finale, which drew HBO’s largest global audience ever, and previously won an Emmy for House.

The White Lotus star O’Grady recently starred in Kathryn Bigelow’s A House Of Dynamite, genre title Monitor, HBO Max’s The Comeback and has Jumanji: Open World upcoming.
