EXCLUSIVE: Brenton Thwaites (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) and Erin Moriarty (The Boys) are rounding out the cast of C.L.A.Y., the psychological cyber-thriller written, directed and produced by Simon Afram.
They will star alongside the cast we’ve previously announced of Nicolas Cage, Michael Sheen, Jordi Mollà, Emilio Sakraya, Adrian Topol and Agnez Mo.
The film marks Afram’s directorial debut following WWII espionage feature Fortitude, which he wrote and produced for director Simon West.
The film “follows a brilliant but socially invisible computer prodigy who finds purpose and belonging when he is drawn into C.L.A.Y. (Clowns Laughing At You), an underground hacker collective whose daring exploits turn digital provocation into real-world consequences. As the group’s notoriety grows, their actions attract the attention of intelligence agencies, criminal syndicates and rival hackers.”
“Brenton and Erin are two of the most exciting actors working today, and they bring exactly the charisma and emotional truth this story needs. With them, our cast is complete, and I couldn’t be happier as we head into production together in London this November,” said writer-director Simon Afram.”
The film, which shoots on location in London from November 2026, is produced by Afram alongside Georgette Turner, Edward Kahl, Reza Roohi and Adrian Topol, with executive producers Bianca Goodloe, David Scaramanga, Cüneyt Kaya and Daniel Haido.
Casting is by Rich Mento. Bianca Goodloe at Goodloe Law is legal counsel for the production.
Thwaites is represented by UTA, Aran Michael Management and Luber Roklin Entertainment. Moriarty is represented by CAA, 7 Deuce Entertainment, and Peikoff Mahan Law Office.
