Andy Cohen and Bravo have settled the toxic work environment lawsuit filed by Leah McSweeney.

The action saw the Real Housewives of New York star accuse her old bosses of encouraging substance use and a resumption of her alcohol abuse, among other things. McSweeney also later claimed that Cohen and Bravo engaged in a coordinated media attack against her.

The confidential settlement draws the curtain on what would have been Bravo’s first courtroom trial with a cast member. McSweeney’s attorney Gary Adelman of the law firm Adelman Matz, told The New York Post Friday, “We are extremely satisfied with the outcome [and] we are proud of Leah and her perseverance.”

As is the standard procedure in such resolutions, McSweeney has withdrawn her suit following Bravo’s settlement agreement. The settlement’s dollar figure has not been disclosed, but clearly “extremely satisfied” gives you a sense of things.

McSweeney had been sober for a decade when she relapsed shortly before she began filming the show in 2019. She initially filed suit against Bravo and Cohen in 2024, saying that the network and its executives encouraged her to resume drinking to make for the series’ signature melodrama and boost ratings.

After she filed the 2024 suit, McSweeney claimed, in May 2025, that Real Housewives cast members Heather Dubrow, Kyle Richards, Melissa Gorga, Kandi Burruss, Lisa Vanderpump, Heather Dubrow and Dorinda Medley had emerged on TV, online and in print to “claim that McSweeney is a liar,” and that Cohen made the nearly two dozen Bravo stars “publicly disparage McSweeney’s character, and propensity for truthfulness, to curry favor with Cohen in the hopes that such favor would propel their entertainment careers.”

Cohen and Bravo denied McSweeney’s claims.
