EXCLUSIVE: Actress Alice Eve has inked with Verve and lined up a new project: a grief-themed indie called The Long Run that’s slated for production this fall.
In The Long Run, Eve plays Claire Stanton, a woman shattered by the loss of her Marine husband who rediscovers life thanks to the unruly rescue dog he left behind — an unlikely companion who pulls her, mile by mile, toward the marathon they once promised to run together and a deeper connection with her young son.
Harold Cronk (Unbroken: Path to Redemption) is directing from a screenplay by Liz Larsen and Brando Colonna. Leeni Marshall is producing for Rare Films.
On the film side, Eve’s credits include J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness, Men in Black 3, action thriller Cold Comes The Night opposite Bryan Cranston, and romantic comedy She’s Out of My League opposite Jay Baruchel. Her television credits include Netflix’s Black Mirror, Marvel’s Iron Fist and the historical drama Belgravia from Julian Fellowes.
Eve continues to be represented by Artist International Group, with whom she signed in August, as well as ARG in the UK, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
