There’s a rather large omission overhanging the poll results this election: they assume no overhang on the right.

Last night’s 1News-Verian poll, for example, showed National with 36 seats based on its share of the party vote.

Forecasts including the Herald’s suggest National will win 40 to 41 electorate seats, and without the help of the Mowbray-Brash campaign.
