A Christchurch father-of-two battling stage 4 bowel cancer is facing a $17,000 monthly treatment bill, despite recent regulatory approval opening the door to limited insurance support.
Mike Hrynkewycz, 46, has undergone two brain surgeries, radiation and several rounds of cancer treatment since being diagnosed in September last year.
