• Omeresan, community leaders and supporters
The people of Orere community in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State have catalogued their “pressing needs” which they want the government to solve for them, particularly as the next political dispensation beckons.
On the top of the community’s priorities are cottage hospital and scholarships for their youths, among others.
The community presented their need list to the candidate of the Labour Party for Warri Federal Constituency, Mr. Slater Christopher Omeresan, who had led his campaign team to the locality on Monday to seek for their votes ahead of the 2027 polls.
The Public Relations Officer of the Orere Community Trust, Mr. Boyo Felix, while presenting the community’s request, said, “This community needs hospital and scholarship empowerments for indigenes of Orere”.
One of the women leaders in the community, spoke in the same vein, reiterating the community’s quest for hospital and scholarship empowerments for youths.

In his address, the Olare-Aja of Orere Community, Pa. Ereyitomi Olorokuto, said, “The community will no longer accept the situation where electoral candidates disappear from sight after emerging victorious at the polls”.
He admonished the Labour Party candidate to keep to his words, saying “Orere community needs what is good and anyone that comes to the community with clean heart is guaranteed success”.
Responding, the Labour Party candidate, Omeresan, decried the underdevelopment in Orere, saying “The community has what it takes to attract foreign investors to develop its tourism potential.
”This is the time to change the narrative. A vote for me, is a vote for a new order”, he said.
