Nigerian rapper, Odumodublvck, has accused the man who instituted an assault case against him of presenting a falsified hospital report in court.
The rapper made the allegation during an interview on NewsCentral TV, on Friday, where he recounted his version of the incident that led to the legal dispute and explained why he rejected his lawyers’ advice to settle the matter.
The suit was filed in November 2025 by Levi Ogbogiri, popularly known as Kraziecent, who accused Odumodublvck of assaulting him at a public event on December 16, 2024, while he was taking photographs and videos.
Ogbogiri alleged that the incident caused him injuries, emotional distress and damage to his iPhone 15 Pro Max.
He sought reimbursement of his medical expenses, a public apology or N2bn in damages.
At the court’s sitting on October 14, 2026, Odumodublvck was ordered to pay N125,000 in costs after his lawyer requested an adjournment to prepare for the case.
Proceedings were subsequently adjourned to December 8 for the hearing of an application by the defence to amend its statement of defence.
Recounting what led to the dispute, Odumodublvck alleged that the complainant was brought to his house by a mutual friend and began recording him without his permission.
According to him, the man attempted to record him again at different locations, including the staircase of his house and the car park.
He said his dancer also cautioned the man when he attempted to film him, adding that the incident continued at a listening party.
“He tried to do it again. And I knew that, okay, this guy was looking for something,” the rapper said.
Recounting the confrontation at the event, he said, “Then we had a confrontation. Then when we got into the show, I pulled him up on stage. I’m like, yo, you were out of line.”
Odumodublvck said the two appeared to have resolved their disagreement at the event, adding that the man even danced with him while recording.
“And he’s like, we’re good. And there’s a video of him even dancing with me, videoing me,” he said.
However, he claimed he was surprised to see the footage online the following morning.
“Only for the next morning I’m seeing the video online. And he’s happy about the video. He went to meet a friend, the person who brought him,” he said.
The rapper further alleged that someone suggested to the man that he could make money from the incident, after which he instituted the assault case.
“And the next thing, they’re like, oh, the next thing he now told, somebody now told him, oh, you can make money from this. I think that’s what they told him. And he went to court to go and say, I assaulted him,” he said.
Odumodublvck said his lawyers initially advised him to settle the matter, but he declined because he maintained that he had not assaulted the complainant.
He cited the experience of late American singer Michael Jackson, whom he said settled an allegation despite maintaining his innocence.
“This is what happened to Michael Jackson. He settled when he didn’t do it. So that’s what made a lot of people pile up cases,” he said.
Explaining his decision not to settle, the rapper said, “You can’t settle if you did not do it. Nobody can even put a gun to my head.
“I’d rather be in the gallows for a year than settle for what I did not do. And I said, I’m not going to settle.”
He said he agreed to defend himself in court despite the financial implications.
“And they said, OK, let’s go to court. Yes, I said, let’s go to court. By God’s grace, I get money to go to court,” he said.
He subsequently accused the complainant of presenting false documents, including a hospital report.
“So they went to the court and the boy brought fake documents. He brought a falsified hospital report,” Odumodublvck alleged.
The rapper, who described himself as a public figure and an international artiste, said he believed his public image could influence how people interpreted the allegation.
“But luckily for me, I’m even innocent,” he said.
Odumodublvck also addressed his failure to attend a court sitting, saying he had changed his legal representation and the lawyer who was expected to represent him had travelled.
“I didn’t show up because I changed my representation. The guy that was meant to represent me, he went to the UK to go and meet his twin brother. So we could not get it,” he said.
He acknowledged the need to attend subsequent proceedings, saying, “Going forward, I’ll be there.”
Despite the dispute, the rapper expressed confidence about the outcome of the case.
“I’m winning the case now, by the way,” he said.
He further described his pursuit of justice as one of the challenges he had faced in his career.
“While fighting for justice in the sight of plain truth, I’ve faced so much barrage, I’ve faced so much sting. But at the end of the day, we’ll thrive, Inshallah,” he said.
