Notable Plateau-based cleric Maseke Daniels has called for unity among the residents of the state, just as he also urged the people to be compassionate to one another.
The cleric, while making the call insisted that “at a time as this, compassion, and the love for humanity must transcend ethnic and religious differences, particularly in challenging times.”
He maintained that the current economic hardship requires Nigerians to show greater love and unity to one another.
According to him, “In this season of economic challenges, we must continue to serve humanity and to give hope to the hopeless.
“We must sustain our faith in God and love our neighbours. The Bible teaches us to be our brother’s keeper. If we love one another and stand together as one people, no hardship will defeat us,” he stressed.
Daniels, who is the Founder and General Overseer of Grace Dimensions Ministry, went dramatic following his call for unity and compassion among the residents, by distributing 5,000 bags of rice to 5,000 vulnerable families in Jos, Plateau State.
The gesture, he highlighted, was part of measures to cushion the effects of the prevailing economic hardship.
Our correspondent reports that the Plateau cleric began the three-day distribution of bags of rice to the residents and other vulnerable groups on Friday and concluded the task on Sunday.
While speaking further on the gesture, Daniels explained that the exercise was carried out under the second edition of the church’s community outreach programme, tagged ‘Feed My People 2.0’, with the theme, “Giving Hope, Feeding Families, Touching Lives.”
Flagging off the exercise in Jos, Prophet Daniels, popularly known as the “Premium Seer”, pointed out that the initiative was also borne out of a divine mandate to serve humanity and restore hope to the needy.

He said the outreach, which began about seven years ago on a small scale, had grown into a large humanitarian intervention that cuts across religious and ethnic lines.
“This initiative began about seven years ago on a smaller scale. It was inspired by a command from God to serve humanity and to give hope to the hopeless,” Prophet Daniels said.
“Our purpose is to help people regardless of their ethnic or religious background. We are distributing 5,000 bags of rice to 5,000 families because God asked us to feed His people,” he added.
Prophet Daniels further said, “Compassion is the true test of our faith. It does not matter whether you are a Christian or Muslim; we are one people created by God. This is the time to show unity, to share with the less privileged and to prove that love is stronger than division.”
He added that the ‘Feed My People 2.0’ programme was designed to demonstrate practical Christianity through charity and compassion.
He called on well-meaning Nigerians, corporate organisations and faith-based groups to complement government’s efforts in addressing hunger and poverty, stressing that the government alone cannot tackle the challenges facing vulnerable households.
Beneficiaries of the outreach expressed appreciation to the ministry for the support, describing the gesture as timely.
Mrs. Aisha Ibrahim, one of the beneficiaries, said: “I did not expect this. I came here with little hope but I am going home with a bag of rice for my family. May God bless Prophet Maseke Daniels and his ministry.”
Similarly, Mr. John Pam said the intervention came at a critical time for his family.
“This rice came at the right time. Things are very hard in the country. This will go a long way to feed my family. We thank Grace Dimensions Ministry for remembering the poor,” he said.
