Nasarawa APC constitutes campaign council for 2027 elections

The All Progressives Congress in Nasarawa State has constituted its State Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections, with Dr. Joseph Attah emerging as the Director-General.

The composition of the Council was disclosed in a statement on Sunday, in Lafia, by the APC State Secretary, Yairus Dagusa, who is also the Secretary of the Council.

Governor Abdullahi Sule will serve as the State Coordinator of the Presidential Campaign Council and Chairman of the State Campaign Council while his deputy, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe will serve as Vice Chairman l and APC Chairman, Dr. Aliyu Bello Vice Chairman ll.

Former governors, deputy governors, ministers, members of the National Assembly and candidates for senatorial and House of Representatives including Dr. Faisal Shuaib were appointed members of the Advisory Council.

Our correspondent reports that Mukhtar Wakeel, Director of Media, Publicity and ICT of the A. A. Sule for Senate Campaign Council, was appointed among others, as the official spokesperson of the Council and member of the Media and Publicity Committee.

For the chairmanship of the Media and Publicity Committee, Dr. Nawani Aboki will chair the Committee and Prof. Emmanuel Dandaura as Co-Chairman.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Addra, Abdulhameed Kwarra, Yusuf Musa, Sam Israel and Rayyanu Bala, among others were listed as spokespersons.

Isiyaku Abdullahi will head the Administration and Finance Committee, while Muhammad Abubakar will head the Election Management Committee.

Also, Dr. Murtala Adogi is in-charge of the ICT and Database Committee to be co-chaired by Assoc. Prof. Nurudeen Maifata.

“Former Speaker of the State Assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe will serve as Chairman of Contact and Mobilisation Committee while Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Suleiman will serve as Chairman of the Women Mobilisation Committee.

“The Secretary to the Government of the State Government, Dr. Labaran Magaji will head the Legal Services and Compliance Committee with Saleh Barde to head the PWDs and Inclusion Committee,” the statement added.

Arewa PUNCH also gathered that the Council comprises Zonal Coordinators, Local Government Coordinators, Ward Coordinators and Polling Unit Coordinators.

The members of the Council are expected to work tirelessly to secure the APC’s victory in the 2027 general election.

The statement further disclosed that the Campaign Council will be inaugurated on Tuesday, 3rd November, at the Government House Banquet House Lafia.
