Event technology company, Mobile Screens and Sound Limited, popularly known as MSS, has celebrated its 20th anniversary with the unveiling of a new brand identity and plans for expansion across Africa.
The celebration, themed The Art of Experience, brought together business leaders, government officials, industry stakeholders, clients and partners.
The event celebrated the company’s two decades of contributions to Nigeria’s event technology industry, particularly in sound, lighting, LED screens, staging and technical production for corporate, entertainment, government and cultural events.
Speaking at the event, the founder and Managing Director of MSS, Tunbosun Kola-Daisi, said the company’s journey began at a time when many of the technologies it introduced were unfamiliar to the Nigerian market.
He said, “Twenty years ago, we entered an industry where the solutions we offered were largely unfamiliar and where belief in the future of event technology was limited. LED screens, which are commonplace today, were then considered a novelty.”
Kola-Daisi disclosed that the company’s early years tested its resilience, adding that it took nearly five years to break even.
However, he said the company remained committed to its vision of using technology to create memorable experiences.
“Today, as we celebrate this milestone, we are proud not only of what we have built, but of the role MSS has played in shaping an industry, creating opportunities and setting new standards for excellence,” he added.
A major highlight of the anniversary celebration was the unveiling of the company’s new logo and refreshed brand identity, which reflects its growth from an event technology venture into a provider of integrated production solutions.

The unveiling was followed by a drone display that illuminated the Lagos skyline.
Speaking on the company’s future plans, Kola-Daisi said MSS intended to deepen its innovation, expand strategically across Africa and invest in developing professionals for the industry.
He noted that the company had grown its capacity to handle complex productions, including large-scale sound reinforcement, simultaneous screen installations at multiple events, power infrastructure, nationwide advertising installations and end-to-end event production management.
Kola-Daisi added that the company was committed to maintaining its position as a benchmark for event technology excellence while building the next generation of industry professionals.
The anniversary also highlighted the impact of the MSS Event Tech Academy, a capacity-building initiative launched to address the demand for skilled workers in the event technology sector.
The academy, established in partnership with Kola-Daisi University, offers an intensive 10-week programme combining technical instruction with practical training across six specialist areas: LED screen engineering, sound engineering, camera craft and video production, lighting design and control, event management and production, and rigging and trussing.
More than 60 students completed the inaugural programme, gaining hands-on experience through participation in live MSS projects and productions. Five graduates secured employment with the company immediately after completing the programme.
The company said it remained committed to improving professional standards, nurturing talent and driving innovation in the event technology industry as it looks to extend its reach across the continent.
