The Lagos Waste Management Authority has announced the commencement of stabilisation and extension works on the tipping platforms E1 and E2 at the Olusosun Dumpsite.

In a recent statement, the Executive Director, Finance at LAWMA, Mr Kunle Adebiyi, explained that the project was being executed through Zoomlion Nigeria Limited to increase the platforms’ “capacity to accommodate more waste trucks simultaneously and thereby improve operational efficiency and safety.”

“Work is progressing on site as scheduled, and its completion alongside major improvement works in other dumping facilities, including Solus III and Epe, will strengthen waste evacuation infrastructure and improve service delivery across Lagos State by significantly reducing truck turnaround time,” Adebiyi said.

According to him, LAWMA solicits the cooperation of all private sector participation operators, waste truck drivers and other stakeholders during the execution of the project to ensure smooth operations and the timely completion of the ongoing rehabilitation works.

“LAWMA remains committed to improving waste-management infrastructure, enhancing operational efficiency and sustaining a cleaner and healthier Lagos,” he added.
