The Abangbe Dilu community in Ilorin East Local Government Area of Kwara State has appealed to the federal and state governments to rescue four family members abducted by suspected kidnappers.
The Magaji of the community, Alhaji Jamiu Akanni, made the appeal in a statement on Saturday, urging the authorities to deploy the necessary resources to locate the abducted persons and ensure their safe return.
He identified the victims as Mansurat Musa, her son, Ramadan, Semiu Ahmed and Sofia Ahmed, who were abducted between Saturday night and the early hours of October 25, 2026.
The abduction has thrown the family and residents into distress, with community leaders calling for intensified security operations to track down the suspected kidnappers and secure the victims’ release.
Akanni called on security agencies to pursue credible leads, intensify surveillance and take urgent steps to prevent further attacks in the community and neighbouring areas.
He also appealed to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to work with federal security agencies, local authorities and community leaders to coordinate efforts towards rescuing the victims.

The community expressed concern that the incident could expose residents to further attacks, urging the government to strengthen security arrangements to protect lives and property.
“The people of Abangbe Dilu in Ilorin East and surrounding communities are calling for urgent intervention to prevent further abductions and restore peace and confidence among residents,” the statement read.
Akanni also urged members of the public with credible information that could assist the rescue operation to report to the appropriate security agencies.
He stressed that the immediate priority was to ensure the safe return of the four abducted persons.
“Our appeal is simple: Please act urgently to bring our people home alive and safe,” the statement added.
