A talent and project management company, Amanar Group, has co-hosted the opening reception of Diaspora Week Lagos 2026, bringing together creatives, entrepreneurs, investors and industry executives from Nigeria and the Diaspora.

The reception, held in Lagos on October 27, was organised in partnership with Amplify Africa, The Temple Company and Levitikal Group.

The gathering officially welcomed members of the global diaspora to Lagos and set the stage for two weeks of cultural and business activities, coinciding with major events, including Lagos Fashion Week, Art X Lagos, the Africa International Film Festival, Moonshot by TechCabal and the Creative Africa Nexus.

Speaking on the importance of the initiative, the head of Amanar Group, Abdul Quam Tadese, popularly known as AQT, said the event was designed to encourage greater international engagement with Africa and its creative industry.

“The reason this is very important for us to do is that a lot of importing has to be done for there to be a balance. African excellence is continually taken abroad, and it’s time for the world to start coming into Africa to see and connect first-hand,” he said.

Tadese said the initiative aligned with its broader mission of creating structures that enable African creativity to thrive on the global stage.

The company operates across music, live events, creator partnerships, fashion and cultural initiatives.

Its previous projects include the Afrobeats Festival in Berlin in 2023, the UNILAG Independence Day Festival, which recorded a sold-out outing, and its Kaduna edition, which attracted more than 10,000 people.

Through its Camp Lagos initiative, the company also provides creative and industry immersion opportunities for emerging talents, offering mentorship in areas such as branding, legal strategy and international representation, in partnership with multi-platinum American music producer Scorp.

Amanar Group is a culture-led strategy and project management company founded to develop and scale African creative ideas for international audiences.

Led by AQT, it works across different sectors of the creative industry, connecting African talents and cultural initiatives with global opportunities.
