The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Abdulaziz Yari, says the party will rely on President Bola Tinubu’s performance record and its campaign efforts to persuade Nigerians to re-elect him in January 2027.
Yari said the campaign council would engage Nigerians, highlight the administration’s achievements and seek public support for Tinubu’s re-election.
According to a statement issued by the APC-PCC DG Media Office and made available to journalists in Abuja on Saturday, the former Zamfara State governor spoke with journalists in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, at the weekend, where he joined Tinubu and other eminent Nigerians to perform Umrah.
He also expressed confidence in divine intervention, saying the outcome of the election ultimately rested with Allah.
He stated, “That’s what makes a leader. When you ask President Tinubu, he first prayed for the country and every Nigerian. He also said that this election was one in which God has chosen the person who will be the leader, and only He can install or remove a leader.

“So, in total, I depend on Allah to do it for him as He did in 2023. By that, Allah says we should pray and work, and that all the procedures we are undertaking to campaign, talk to people, convince them and show them what we have done and achieved will, by God’s grace, convince the people to re-elect us.”
The statement said the trip would offer the President an opportunity for spiritual reflection, devotion and prayers for Nigeria’s peace, unity, stability and continued progress.
