The All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, on Thursday, mobilised support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, the APC governorship candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, and other party candidates in the 2027 general elections, distributing tilling machines and generators to youths.
The Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare, who organised the rally at Oba Ghandi Civic Centre Square, Starlight Area, in Ogbomoso, said Tinubu had made a huge impact across Nigeria since assuming office in 2023.
He said, “This mega campaign rally, tagged ‘Tinubu Lekansi’ (Tinubu Once Again), is organised to allow Mr President to finish his good work.
“President Tinubu has made a huge impact across Nigeria since coming on board in 2023, and in Ogbomoso, his achievements are visible. The Ogbomoso–Oyo section of the Ibadan–Ilorin dual carriageway, which began in the early 2000s, is almost complete now. Thanks to President Tinubu.
“Also, recently, about five roads either within Ogbomoso metropolis or linked to Ogbomoso were awarded. And contractors have been moving to the site to begin the project. Ogbomoso will vote for the President once again. We stand with his Renewed Hope Agenda.”
He, therefore, urged the electorate in the state to vote for Tinubu, the APC governorship candidate, Alli and all APC candidates come 2027.
Dare, who further charged eligible voters to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards and come out in large numbers during the election, said, “The student loan scheme introduced by the Federal Government and increase in the monthly allowance of National Youth Service Corps members are parts of Tinubu’s administration’s initiatives.”
Also speaking, a three-term member of the House of Representatives representing Surulere/Ogo-Oluwa Federal Constituency, Segun Odebunmi, who is the party’s candidate for the same legislative seat in 2027; Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala, the party’s candidate for Ogbomoso North/Ogbomoso South/Oriire Federal Constituency; Senator Brimmo Yusuf; former Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Olagunju Ojo; and former state Deputy Governor, Rauf Olaniyan, urged the electorate to cast their votes for the APC.
As part of the programme, the organisers distributed food items, including rice, beans, semovita, garri, tilling machines, generators and others to the youths.
The programme also featured the opening of new classrooms at Ikoyi Grammar School and Lasubu-Alada Community Grammar School in Ogbomoso.
