The people of Isoko nation in Delta State have endorsed the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was reiterated on Tuesday at a reception held in honour of Oborevwori and his wife, Tobore, at Isoko House, Oleh.

At the event, the governor was honoured with the title of Orhuerevwo, meaning Developer of Isoko Nation, while his wife received the title of Ododo, meaning Beautiful Flower.

Addressing the gathering, the President-General of the Isoko Development Union, Prof. Chris Akpotu, described Oborevwori as “a transformative leader whose administration had intensified infrastructure development across Delta State”.

Akpotu said the Isoko people’s support for the governor’s MORE Agenda also reflected their endorsement of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

He appealed to the state government to construct the road linking the IDU secretariat to Olomoro and Iwride-Iyede, and restore electricity across Isoko communities.

In his remarks, Oborevwori described the reception as “a homecoming” and thanked the people for their continued support and endorsement.
