The State government has selected three achievers from Belagavi for the Rajyotsava awards in recognition of their contribution in their respective fields.
The award winners are Sujatha Mallikarjuna Jali in the field of Medicine, Kadappa Parasurama Gadiwadkar for Sculpture and D.S. Chougale for Art and Theatre.
Pro-Kannada organisations have congratulated them.
Their selection is a moment of pride for Belagavi, recognising their contribution and achievement in their respective disciplines, said a release from the united forum of Kannada organisations.
