Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple Trust Board chairman Pothugunta Ramesh Naidu on Sunday (October 25, 2026) inspected the queue lines, the Annaprasadam (free meal) distribution hall and the laddu prasadam sales counters at Srisailam.
While examining the darshan queue lines and the holding compartments, Mr. Ramesh Naidu directed the officials concerned to take up necessary repairs to the flooring in the compartments. He interacted with several devotees to gather their feedback on the facilities provided by the Devasthanam, and inquired about the arrangements for darshan, supply of drinking water, distribution of prasadam and sanitation.
Mr. Ramesh Naidu instructed officials to identify areas where devotees might face difficulties during high footfall and to make appropriate arrangements accordingly. He stressed the need for precautions to prevent overcrowding or stampede-like situations in the queue lines and directed the staff concerned to remain in constant communication with their superiors while managing the darshan queues.
He asked officials to ensure a continuous supply of drinking water and refreshments in the queue lines. Information on darshan timings, the estimated time for darshan and other relevant details should be continuously broadcast through the temple’s public address system, he said.
He said special attention should be paid to the cleanliness of the restrooms in the queue complex and asked officials to ensure that they were cleaned regularly.
Inspecting the Annaprasadam distribution hall, Mr. Ramesh Naidu asked devotees about the food. Officials were advised to manage the distribution of Annaprasadam according to the expected influx of devotees during the auspicious month of Kartikam.
At the laddu prasadam sales counters, Mr. Ramesh Naidu reviewed the stock records and the procedure for issuing tickets.
He instructed the officials concerned to strictly maintain hygiene during the preparation of laddu and pulihora prasadams and said their quality must not be compromised.
Mr. Ramesh directed that adequate stock of laddus be kept ready to meet the requirements of the devotees. Officials were instructed to set up three additional laddu counters, including a dedicated counter for women, to accommodate the rush of devotees.
Staff were directed to ensure that devotees did not have to wait long at the prasadam sales counters.
