Speaking at the INDIA alliance’s ‘Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao’ (Save the Vote, Save the Country) at Ramlila Maidan, Rahul Gandhi once again used religious imagery around Shiva to outline his vision for an inclusive India.
It seems Mr. Gandhi seeks to reinforce the pluralistic side of Hinduism without abandoning aggression altogether. He didn’t just talk of dethroning the BJP, he vowed to send the top leadership of the ruling dispensation to jail if voted to power and, in the same vein, promised to open mohabbat ki dukan.
