South Western Railway’s Mysuru Division organised an awareness programme on Monday to promote integrity, transparency and accountability as part of Vigilance Awareness Week, being observed from Monday to Sunday.
Shammas Hameed, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, administered the Vigilance Awareness Pledge to railway officials, employees, Scouts and Guides, and students of Lalitha School at the Divisional Office in Mysuru.
As part of the programme, Scouts and Guides staged a street play (Nukkad Natak) highlighting the importance of honesty and integrity and the need to combat corruption.
A painting competition was also organised for students of Lalitha School to encourage them to express their views on vigilance and ethical values through art.
Mr. Hameed distributed prizes to the winners and appreciated the participants for their enthusiasm and involvement.
The programme aimed to sensitise railway employees and students to the importance of ethical conduct in public service and encourage their participation in building a transparent, accountable and corruption-free society.
